Is a distance education degree valid for SSC CGL?

Yes, a distance education degree is valid for SSC CGL examination. Most of the aspirants start their preparation while doing their courses form distance learning. Nationality/Citizenship

Aspirants must be:

a)    A citizen of India or

b)    A subject of Nepal or

c)    A subject of Bhutan or

d)    A Tibetan refugee who came to India, before 1^st Jan 1962 for permanent settlement.

Age Limit

The age limit under SSC CGL eligibility criteria is different for different posts. As per SSC CGL notification 2021, the SSC has changed the previous age limit with slight changes.

Age Relaxation

Age relaxation schemes given to special categories’ candidates are as follow:

·         SC/ST           :        5 years

·         OBC              :        3 years

·         PH                :        10 years

·         PH + OBC      :        13 years

·         PH + SC/ST   :        15 years

Educational Qualifications

·         Bachelor Degree form a recognized University or Institute (degree form distance learning is also valid here).
