Never Make These 8 Common Mistakes while preparing for SSC CGL 2021


SSC CGL pattern has changed and it is a challenge for the aspirants who are going to take SSC CGL 2021 Exam scheduled in the month of July 2021.
Since the exam pattern needs to be understood under the professional guidance but those who ignore the same might make some mistakes.
The common mistakes which aspirants are expected to make while preparing for SSC CGL 2021 Exam are:
1. Not analyzing the exam pattern and syllabus
Many applicants start their preparation by joining a coaching institute without going through the latest exam pattern and syllabus.  It results in a total chaos when it comes to practicing mock tests, it is then they realise that they lack many important facts about the exam pattern and syllabus. Therefore, before starting the exam preparation it is better to go through the exam pattern thoroughly by studying the cut-offs for previous years. Further, start practicing the previous year papers which will give effective learning impact to your preparation.
2. Ignoring the methodological aspects of the exam
Applicant must be acquainted with the methodological aspects of online exam system. Avoid practicing on pen and paper. Avoid using books while solving the mock tests as it will act as a limiting factor in attaining time management skill.
3. Preparing for various exams concurrently

4. Referring more than one book/source

5. Not making a study – plan in advance
Study-plan is the guiding factor for you to use the time judiciously.  As the time one gets after the notifications is not more than 70 -75 days.  It is very less therefore you have to make the most of it by using it effectively or else you will not be able to cover the topics of the syllabus in time. Fix a time for the regular practice of tests and puzzles to enhance your learning and understanding.
6. Not giving due preference to all subjects
Generally candidates think that practicing maths and reasoning will help them crack the exam.  It results in the ignoring the other two sections.  As you know each section carries equal marks and are scoring too. It is advisable to give equal importance to all the subjects to crack the exam.
7. Relying only on short tricks
Tricks without ethical learning is useless, understand the concept and then apply the tricks to solve the questions.  But it is better not to rely too much on these tricks as they do not give right answer if not applied properly.
